"I was out of hard cider, but I did have regular apple cider. I used that plus a splash of cider vinegar instead. Just to make the sauce a little richer for the gnocchi, I added a good spoonful of marscapone. Mmm... good! And so easy!""
"I actually just used the dressing part of this (and the spinach, of course. I substituted white wine vinegar for red wine, though. Instead of the egg, onion and 'shrooms, I did goat cheese, walnuts, and dried cranberries. OMG! So good! Will be making this again and again!""
"I was feeling a bit lazy and decided to trim the calories down a little further by omitting the breadcrumbs and egg wash. Also, instead of putting parsley inside, I used a single basil leaf. Definitely a tasty little dish, but I wish I could've found polenta in the grocery store!"
"This recipie translated really well in the pressure cooker. Like others have posted, I substituted the water for 2 1/2 cups of beef broth and a 1/2 cup of red wine and 3 smaller Yukon gold potatoes. I also added a can of diced tomatoes as I had fond memories of my dad making this addition in his beef stew. Everything cooked in just under an hour (I waited until the last 20m to add the carrots and celery). The beef was fork tender and the taste was spot on!"
