Reviewed Baked Coconut Shrimp

Sunday, Sep 16, 2012 on Cooking Channel

"Super easy and great flavor. I made the sauce on the recipe but also took someone's suggestion and heated orange marmalade w/a pinch of cracked red pepper. The marmalade was by far the better of the two. There's more sugar in so I have to be good the rest of the day but the extra flavor makes up for it. "

Reviewed Quick Marinara

Tuesday, May 22, 2012 on FoodNetwork.com

"This has become my new marinara recipe. I've tried several different ones but this one has the flavor I like combined with the speed and ease of a quick dinner. If you like intense tomato flavor, this is a good one for you."

Tuesday, May 22, 2012 on FoodNetwork.com

"The eggs didn't set in the amount of time listed in the recipe so I baked it an additional 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven. The marinara definitely made the recipe. All that said, the flavors were great. The pasta was more texture than taste."

Reviewed Lighter Shrimp and Polenta

Friday, Mar 2, 2012 on Cooking Channel

"I give the shrimp a 5 and the polenta a 3. I followed the recipe as written. Next time I will not use a cast iron skillet. The flavor was great but it cooked way too fast...

I love this dish and will make it again...""

Sunday, Jan 8, 2012 on FoodNetwork.com

"This one turned our perfectly for me... I started the zest, bay leaves & garlic simmering while I prepared everything else and waited to put the couscous in until I started searing the cod. The flavors complimented each other and my simmering the zest for 30 minutes or more, the citrusy flavor really really permeated throughout the dish. Marina""

Reviewed Seared Cod with Blood Orange Glaze

Sunday, Jan 8, 2012 on FoodNetwork.com

"I made all four recipes from this episode at the same time. I marked this down only because it is time intensive. I loved the flavors and they all complimented each other. I made a mistake when I bought the blood oranges and didn't have enough so I had to use some regular OJ to make up enough for the sauce. Since I find cod a rather bland fish""

"Mmmmm. I would add more onion next time but the flavors are perfect together. The really compliments the cod and couscous recipes from the same episode.""

Reviewed "Dee Dee's Home Run Chicken"- Pollo Guisado

Monday, Oct 17, 2011 on FoodNetwork.com

"I didn't see this on TV so I tried it as the recipe is written. My only change was to reduce the amount of oil and to cut out the bacon (all to save on the fat & calories). I loved it! I found Sazon seasoning at the grocery store and will now keep it on hand -- my new favorite spice mixture! I poured the sauce over the chicken and that took ca""

Reviewed Tropical Salsa

Saturday, Sep 17, 2011 on FoodNetwork.com

"Outstanding! I cooked some Talapia (salt, pepper & garlic powder in butter/olive oil, and served the fish on top of pasta then used this salsa as the topping. Wonderful!!! I made the mistake of using whole wheat pasta but the salsa made even that taste good. I'm saving the rest to try on Cuban pork roast tomorrow..""

"Loved it!!! I can't wait to try this marinade on a whole chicken and either roast it or cook it on the grill beer-can chicken style. And for those who forgot to line their cookie sheets with foil, use oven cleaner (the kind that works in a cool oven. It cleans those cookie sheets right up with very little effort.

Monday, Aug 29, 2011 on FoodNetwork.com

"Cooking? Maybe not this dish but the chicken I made last night for this recipe was cooking. I added a handful of chopped pecans at the last minute, sort of guessed on the proportions because I didn't want to mess up the measuring cups and used non-fat Greek yogurt. I liked it as a wrap but will probably use the grainy bread I bought for Dad's s""

Reviewed Gina's Turkey Meatloaf

Monday, Feb 21, 2011 on FoodNetwork.com

"Great flavor and easy to make. The negative is that it had too much moisture and it fell completely apart -- not much loaf in the meatloaf. It's a great way to cover bland ground turkey with popping flavor."
