"i am having this meal right now minus the cherry tomatoes. i like tomatoes and will definitely do that soon though! the filet--perfect! the croquettes!!!!!! oh boy, what a fun way to eat mashed potatoes and i am having both with a spinach salad that the reduction wilted beautifully. "
"i made this recipe the second time i made a turkey and it was great! one interesting fact: i made stock with the carcass and it had the weirdest sweet aftertaste going. bizarre. anyway, i would recommend this recipe. it makes a beautiful bird. and if i can't find the herb sauce packet stuff for her other turkey recipe, it may be making a beautiful""
"i can't understand how someone with an adult palate would not enjoy these shortbread cookies! generally speaking i don't like robinson's cookie recipes. mine NEVER look like hers. but this one is fool proof and complex and a super-delight to the taste buds. we're having a cold snap in missouri so i may turn on the oven and bake some this weekend.""
"i wish i could give it one extra star. this dessert is a WINNER! i added a fourth ingredient of mini-chocolate chips for fun. and when i served, i drizzled a little caramel sauce on top. it was out of control good! this probably won't work with other fruits (because of the starchiness of the bananas) this well but what a fun thing to try and see.""
"i really like valladolid's personality on screen. and i think this might be the first recipe of hers i have tried.
it's a little spicy with the serrano chiles in it. i am eating a small dish now and getting major heartburn!
i think i'll do it again. after all, what could be easier? but no chiles. or maybe of one."
"it was tasty. i left out the whole puff pastry thing because i just wasn't feeling it. i added some frozen peas and served a chicken breast that was marinated in lemon and rosemary and am now sucking my teeth in contentment. some people just need to work these recipes to their own end sometimes!"
"i couldn't make this recipe with veal. but i made it with pork tenderloin and enjoyed it very much. i wish i would have had company to share ti though. because i made two pounds of loin; i will be eating this for a while! tomorrow i will have sweet potato fries and spinach salad on the side with it. sometime next week, it may be shredded in to tac"
"actually, the ginger beer ice doesn't hold up on the pineapple. claire robinson must have the most incredible freezer to get those cubes to freeze like that! but i got lucky and got a beautifully ripe pineapple. it roasted gorgeously! it deserved a scoop of vanilla ice cream and next time, that's what it's going to get. with a little candied ginge"
"it was delicious! i love goat cheese and the zest and and the parsley made the goat cheese balls taste light and luscious.
i did my own little thing with the salad. i left out the corm because corn on the cob looks very sad in february and grilled a filet mignon. then i drizzled the whole plate with pomegranite balsamic reduction. it was out of control!
ate it? i INHALED it!"
"here's the scoop. the night i made this there was a blizzard in my town. so all the chickens were bought. why do i bring up chicken? because that is what i really wanted for dinner the night of the blizzard. so, i had to think of something i could have that was comforting and different. i remembered this recipe and talked the ingredients back to mind. i couldn't find tagliatelle, so i went with fettucine. i am not fond of hot spicy so i bought sweet italian and added a palmful of red pepper flake to the skillet. finally, i decided not to smash the peas because my teeth would eventually smash them and VOILA! i had a nice dinner on a cold snowy night after shoveling the walk.
"extremely tasty!!!!! it was the perfect christmas dinner and the leftovers became a simple yellow curry. i used fennel, sweet potatoes and onions for my vegetable mix. by time the bird had rested and was ready for carving, i had lost patience and didn't want to attempt making the gravy!
"i tried making these cookies last weekend and wound having to do them as frosted cookies. i sliced them too thick. so, i have leftover dough in the fridge and will bake them again tonight because i will feel the urge to be domestic. i will slice them thinly, dust them with confectioners sugar and then, i am sure they will work out right.
