"The brownie is good. Good consistency. Good fudginess. NOT SWEET AT ALL. Even with all the toppings, it's bland. I would make again, but it definetly needs some work."

"A good basic recipe with lots of room to make them your own way. I substituted vanilla extract for all of the anise and added mini chocolate chips. I refrigerated the dough for about 45 minutes to make the dough easier to handle. Plan on dipping ends in chocolate.
"You can make the coffee cake into muffins, or even in a 9x13 pan. Just check the muffins after about 15 minutes and the 9x13 after about 30 minutes. Just estimates, so if it looks done, test!
Also, most coffee cakes do not contain coffee as an ingredient. You eat them while having coffee!
