Good recipe. I used stone ground grits and let it cook about a half hour before adding the butter to it. No change in the other ingredients.

I will give this recipe 3 stars because I think it has "modification potential." I really didn't like this one much, but I still like the concept. I "spiced up" the left-overs, and liked it much better.

This recipe just played to rave reviews in my house. I'm "hard to please" when it comes to Mexican/Southwestern recipes, but I really liked this one. I followed the recipe to a tee (although I accidentally dropped a couple of bay leaves in) and served it with pintos, Mexican rice, and lettuce/salsa salad.
