Reviewed Suped-Up Traditional Chicken Noodle Soup

Thursday, Feb 27, 2014 on Cooking Channel

"I made this soup the other day, and I thought I followed the recipe closely. But maybe I didn't saute the leeks enough? -And there was A LOT! For my husband and I, it was SO overpowering. I didn't even use all of the leeks because it looked really excessive. I always hesitate when it comes to cooking soup, because you end up with so much o"

This was really easy, really good! There's another recipe I usually make along the same lines, but my son said this was WAY BETTER! The only things I did different is I added 3 huge cloves of garlic, (should've used more!) and sauted those in the pan drippings before I added the rest of the ingredients. And I used the Marzetti pepper rings, like some...

Reviewed Rice and Beans Casserole

Monday, Oct 28, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

This was really good! I usually try to follow a recipe as written the first time, but I wanted to try this TODAY and I didn't want to soak the beans. So I used 2 cups of canned cannellini beans. "This was really GOOD!!! I usually use a package when I make sloppy joes, but decided to try this after watching her make it on her show. I definitely felt like this was homey comfort food! I LOVE the sweet and tangy flavors, and a nice little kick as well. My teenage son went nuts! I asked him if he thought there was anything I should change, and "

"This was really good! I used 1 lb of ground beef and a lb of Jenny-O ground turkey. I pretty much doubled all the ingredients. I also added 2 cups chicken broth instead of water. -Oh, and I let it simmer uncovered. It seemed really runny, and I read the other review, so leaving it uncovered did the trick for me. It's pretty darn tasty! IF I have l"
