"Have made this following both the cooked and uncooked egg versions based off Good Eats, also with the alcohol and without. My son loves the cooked minus alcohol, wife and I love the uncooked with alcohol. Pretty easy to follow instructions. Great for the holidays."
"This is one of the few AB recipes we have cooked that just didn't come out. The chicken was purple from the wine. With using 2 bottles, it took longer than expected to reduce the wine, great way to monitor it with the rubber band though. With so many other great AB recipes, most likely will not be repeated."
"A great way to make fried chicken, be careful of chicken thickness and oil temp. My thermometer did not want to attach to my cast iron skillet, which made monitoring difficult. Have made this with just drumsticks (a lot easier to check to ensure no burning), and had great results. "
"My family loved the stuffing more than the acorn squash. Be careful if you need to cut the bottom of the squash, we cut off to much and had a hole thru the bottom of 2 squash. The pine nuts really do add to this dish. We will make again."
"I have made duck following Alton"s recipe probably 10 times so far, my wife and son love this meal. You have to plan this one in advance, our ducks are purchased frozen, so thawing time adds to the 4 days in the chill chest. One of our favorite recipes."
