Reviewed Saag Paneer: Spinach with Indian Cheese

Saturday, Apr 13, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

"I make this all the time. I used to buy the Paneer from Whole Foods Market but they stopped stocking it and then Costco but they stopped stocking it as well (the Costco brand was better than the WF brand. Anyway I buy the paneer from a local Indian market now. Many times in restaurants saag paneer is too rich but this has the right balance of spic"

Reviewed Calzones Stuffed with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage

Saturday, Feb 11, 2012 on FoodNetwork.com

"Awesome! Tasty filling and the crust was so easy. I've never used semolina in a calzone dough so I tried it and it adds a nice texture to the dough. I also really let the yeast go crazy too because living at a higher altitude sometimes tweaks yeast breads. This is a keeper""

"No substitutions and no problems. I've been trying recipes from Food Network for years and I have to say that I have never been disappointed! It does amuse me to see how other cooks trash the recipe with such descriptors and "Yuck!" and "it ruined my dinner!" When I want to try a recipe I look to see if the ingredients are things I like and are ea""

Reviewed Venetian Carrot Cake

Wednesday, Apr 6, 2011 on FoodNetwork.com

"What a great cake! Tried this last night and it filled the house with a wonderful fragrance. The cake was moist and delicious and not sickeningly sweet like the American version. I used almond meal from Natural Grocers about $3.50 for a 1 lbs package. I really don't know what's not to like about the recipe. I prepared it for a gluten intolerant friend and he loved it. Concerning the lack of leavening, my cake didn't need it. The eggs provided all the left necessary.
I know some of the ingredients are expensive. I think Bob's Red Mill almond meal is $10 a pound but if you have a Natural Grocer near by they carry raw almond meal in the refrigerator section. "

"I made this for a party and it really rocked! I'm a vegetarian so I substituted veggie sausage for the pork sausage. Made it the day before then reheated it for the party. Even the non-vegetarians couldn't believe I used fake sausage.
I did use a jar of marinara instead of making from scratch but we have a local brand in Denver that really rocks, Spinelli's!
The zucchini and mushroom were such a nice touch.

Reviewed Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Saturday, Feb 12, 2011 on FoodNetwork.com

"This is one of the tastiest mac & cheese recipes out there. It works perfectly every time. I've tried it with Gruyere cheese and extra sharp cheddar. I've tried smoked paprika too for a slightly different taste... it always works. I've even tried the fried mac and cheese and it's so yummy.

I can't believe that someone suggested using velveeta, gross!
