“Unlike most of the people who are gripping about new format I actually tried this recipe & found it to be very good. I did make a few changes. I didn't have riccotta cheese so I used sour cream & soft cream cheese & also added sauted veggies, I grated fresh nutmeg & a spash of hot sauce, dried herbs worked for me since that's all... ”

“I'm so glad I make it a habit to read all the reviews before trying Ina's recipes. Although their good, sometimes she uses too much salt. I made this today & used non fat plain greek yogurt for mayo & cut the salt down to 1/2 tea. ”

“I like lentils but this dish didn't work for me, when I put everything together it tasted like paste. I always cut back on salt on all of Ina's recipes, I've noticed using too much salt in her cooking is a common complaint others share too. ”

“These are my husband favorite cookies! Since there's a candy bar in recipe I cut back on both sugars to 1/2 cup each & I added 1 more tea of vanilla. I flatten down the dough a little before baking & only baked for 9 minutes. One of our local stores sells this cookies for $7.99 a doz. Great recipe ”

“I made this yesterday & made a few changes. I added 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tea vanilla & a TB of molasses. I didn't have any rum so soaked dried fruit in red wine, it was a big hit with my family, great recipe :-) ”

"Yesterday I made this pie & followed suggested of one review by adding an extra TB of cornstarch & 1/2 cup of less milk, after 7 hrs in the fridge it still came out runny. This recipe was a complete waste of ingredients & time. Do to poor ratings of the crust & caramel sauce I made a graham cracker crust, it was the only thing that was good abou"
"I made this today & took advise of other viewers & added an extra Tb of cornstarch & 1/2 less milk, it's been in fridge for almost two hrs & filling hasn't set up yet :-(. I'll keep looking for that perfect banana cream pie"
"This was a good dish but it took longer to cook then what was stated. I cooked green beans in the microwave for 6 mins then simmered it on the stove top for about 7-8 mins or til it was fork tender, I added fresh garlic. I didn't have fresh mushrooms so used canned. It had great flavor & color :-) "
"These were good but not very healthy with all the butter & sugar. Thankfully, I read reviews before making these muffins, like so many others I found ways cutting out fat & reduce sugar while keeping the taste. I used 2 cups of flour & 1 cup of cake flour, reduced sugar to 1/2 cup, added salt & vanilla. I only used 1/2 cup of melted butter & 1/2"
"Loved, loved, LOVED these cookies! I made the following changes: chilled the dough over night, formed the balls then put 'em in the fridge for 10 mins before filling. Baked for 14 mins. If you chill dough before baking, cookies wont spread. I also added 1/4 tea of almond extract. I didn't have chambord or kirch, fresh lemon zest/juice is the k"
"I have a pot of this soup on, it smells amazing! I made the following changes. I soaked navy beans over night then brought them to boil & let it sit for 45 mins. I used dried herbs, kale for spanich & whole wheat noodles, added green beans, can't wait until soup is ready. "
"This turned out really good! I made a batch for my hubby in the evening, put it in the frige and the next day he had a bowl. Since it needed to sit over night I passed on the banana but did add raisins, cinnamon was a nice touch. I cooked the oatmeal longer then what recipe stated, it took about 6-7 mins to get thick, worth the wait. I also ad"
"I personally don't eat fish but my hubby does. I made this today for him & had a lot of fun putting everything together. My oldest daughter said it had the "wow factor"! I added roasted veggies & whole peperoncinies. It looks and smells amazing :-)"
"I made this for dinner tonight. Not sure if I bought an old roast from our local store, it turned out like shoe leather :-(. Thankfully I added potatoes and carrots so it wasn't a total loss, broth was amazing. "
"This recipe is good and easy to follow however, I feel the orange zest over powers the apples so I leave it out. I add 1/3 cup of brown sugar & 1/3 cup of white sugar to the filling. It takes longer to bake then recipe states, whenever I've baked one it takes anywhere between 40-45 mins. Every time apples are on sale my hubby knows he'll be gett"
"My hubby has never been a fan of cornbread but jumps for joy when ever I make Ina's cornbread. The other night it was cold out so I made a pot of navy bean soup and a batch of this cornbread minus the peppers, there isn't much left. The cornbread stands up to chilli, soups and doesn't crumble like so many cornbreads do. Thanks for the recipe, i"
"I don't like sea food but my husband and oldest daughter does. I made this tonight for dinner, got rave reviews. The recipe was easy to follow and smelled really good. I cooked fish on one side for 3 minutes, flipped it then covered it with foil and turned off heat until dinner was ready. Alton, thanks for the great recipe :-)"
"I just made this twice in the past week. For the 2nd batch I only used lemon zest/juice, orange was waaay to strong. I also added 1/2 tea of cinnamon. It takes longer to cook then recipe states but it's still a winner, it adds a lot of flavor to turkey sandwiches. I froze 6 bags of fresh cranberries and will probably freeze a couple more. Ina,"
"I tried this recipe, it was good by next time I'll make the following changes. Instead of using a granny smith apple, I'll use a braeburn. I'll omit the lemon zest/juice altogether and only stick with orange zest/juice. Adding 1/2 tea of cinnamon makes all the difference in the world. I also split cranberry sauce in two bowls adding raisins an"
"I've been making for the past 7-8 yrs, it's good but a lot of work. I saute potatoes, carrots, onions & garlic then add after mixture is thick, my family calls it "chicken pot pie", biscuits are wonderful! Concerned it would be too salty adding bouillon so I've skippd that part, it's always a winner in our family. Left over turkey works well to"
