I'm a foodie female who frequently needs to be creative when trying new recipes. Why? Because I live in a rural area of northern Michigan where many ingredients are not readily available. My idea of a great time when visiting friends in urban areas is going to their fabulous grocery stores and food markets. I come home laden with new wines, spices I can't find up here and assorted other specialty items. Either way, it's all good and part of the ever evolving array of new dishes coming out of my kitchen.
