“OKay, making again for Christmas party at Clubhouse--when you take out of freezer (def. takes full 20 min)--break apart right away! If you wait then you have to put back in freezer to harden again. Some too soft for breaking apart we kept those; harder ones for guests; and you want to refrigerate till you need them! This time I added cinnamon (hello!)... ”

“Dangerously sweet! I normally don't make stuff like this (white flour, sugar etc.) but very tasty/sweet....more gooey than you realize--careful of teeth. Need to break apart when they're still cold. Next time I would add orange zest on top of chocolate. I served with cut strawberries strewn over, made all the difference. ”

“Like the other gal *definitely* omit the bacon--why turn a healthy sandwich into an unhealthy one with adding unnecessary fat/sodium & nitrates? It was sublime without the bacon and a huge hit!
Also, you can only make good guacamole if you have great avocados. Not everyone can live in CA, so I recommend what I did which was buying the... ”
"Wow--super inspired by other user who used veggie sausage! Went and got some at Trader Joe';s & Whole Foods (then saw could get it at regular markets too--how cool) and it turned out AmAzInG!
SO much healthier with the veggie sausage goodness!!!! THank YOU! :)"
"Whatever you do make this with VEGGIE broth! If you use chickens, some of your guests can't eat it and too much salt/sodium that way too. I used vegetable broth and it came out MUCH better and everyone could eat it and love it.....!!!!!!"
"I AGREE with the other reviewers; whatever you do OMIT the bacon and all the fatty bacon fat part. The recipe on it's own is terrific and everyone loves it; but with the pork fat some of my guests couldn't eat it!
Make it healthy and without the pork and you have a fun recipe everyone will Love! :)"
"So that ALL my guests could enjoy it I used VEGETABLE broth instead of nasty, salty chicken broth. It came out flavorful and delicious and would rec'd for sure. (I use veggie broth most of the time anyway--so much better for you...!!!!)"
"You can make recipe as is in all its glory or just use it for the lovely corn pudding and sear a good piece of grouper in butter and put on top for presentation."
"Disappointment; Way too heavy! Everyone felt 'yucky full' --don't spend the money!"
"The eggplant was great! Very tasty; now to make the meal much healthier for my family we did GRILLED SALMON, the combo of the salmon and the eggplant was amazing!
Why bother with that much unhealthy red meat and artery clogging beef when you can do this dish with salmon and have a really healthful and flavorful meal! I really rec'd it! Cheers!"
"Truly lovely IF--*whatever* you do--use lobster stock or veggie stock--had so many guests/clients decline for ethical reasons cause of veal stock; and then side by side taste tests all of us agreed the lobster stock/veggie stock tasted MUCH better!"
"If you want to use plain water instead of the mussel water go ahead; it's good to dilute the wine a bit with fresh water--but by NO means use chicken broth as a substitute--NO Matter WHAT. If you add chicken broth you introduce possible salmonella to a healthy seafood dish--and would RUIN the flavors involved in the dish.
So if you've decided not ""
