I have found cooking a couple chopped garlic cloves in olive oil for one minute until fragrant, then adding the beans your are re-frying makes them taste really, really good.

"I thought this was a good recipe and with my tweaks I Thought it was very good. I used leftover jasmine rice, I did not use any meat but instead used a couple different mushrooms and some squash I needed to use up. Also, I flavored it with a little five spice bc I did not have any fresh ginger, a large clove of fresh garlic and lite soy sauce."

"I liked the dish but it was very, very spicy. I like spicy but perhaps because I have never bought ancho chiles before, I got ones larger than the recipe called for.
