This looks like a good recipe, but it has a brutal amount of chili powder. I wonder if it is a mistake or is a recipe suited for upmost spicy lovers. I will make it but reducing the amount of chili powder very much. I bet it will be good.

This recipe appeals to me with the exception of the Italian sausage which I hate. I will use ground pork or pork sausage instead. Also, I will omit the yellow bell pepper and add a chopped jalapeno for a spicier flavor. Other than that, I think is great. I will make it soon.

I am Mexican born and raised. Trained to cook by my grandmother who was a very good cook.
Just the list of ingredients in this "recipe" makes me cringe. Wine? Parmesan cheese? Seriously? Anybody who thinks that because something has tortillas in it is Mexican or has something to do with Mexico is the biggest ignorant, fool ever.

"This is a very good recipe. Probably one of the best stews. I make little changes for personal preference. I use beef ribs. I think that the bone adds in flavor; besides the thyme, I also add bay leaves, marjoram and garlic. I saute everything in olive oil first to create a flavor base. "Amazing!!! I am the only one in my household who loves fish and seafood and who will eat swordfish; so, I adapted this recipe for one steak and it worked beautifully. I made everything the same except that I added five drops of toasted sesame oil to the marinade. I used a ribbed cast iron pan and grilled it.
I will be making this regularly. "

Ina scored another hit.
