Reviewed Pumpkin Cheese Ball
Tuesday, Nov 26, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com
“I made this for a Halloween party and it was a huge hit! Super cute, super delicious. Highly recommend as either the pumpkin shape or just a cheese ball if it's the wrong season. Just be prepared to snatch a bite up FAST or it might be gone before you can! ”

“For the record, I made only the pork chops. The pork is great, but the gravy is too sweet. I even added more chicken stock to try and balance it out. I would add only a teaspoon of brown sugar, if any, to the gravy. Also, if you cover your pan while carmelizing the onions, they carmelize in about 12-15 minutes instead of 20. ”
"Perhaps I';m a sweetaholic, but I think the ratio of chocolate to popcorn needs to be modified. I made 7 oz (unpoppoed) popcorn and melted 6 oz chocolate and only used about 2/3 of the popcorn on the popped kernels. Next time, I';m going to try 6oz popcorn and 6 oz chocolate.
I also add just a splash of water or milk to my chocola..."
"I liked the recipe alot, but I thought it needed a few modifications to make it great, which is why it gets 4 stars not 5. First, 8 minutes is nowhere near long enough. I used egg beaters instead of regular eggs, and even still it needed closer to 15 minutes in the oven. I like my food rather spicy so I also added a bit of ancho chile powder to ea"
"Wonderful, quick chili! I put in about half as much chicken, added a can of kidney beans, and a poblano pepper in addition to the bell pepper and it was perfect. Next time I won't even add the chicken, it is so flavorful that it really doesn't need it. "
"First, I used AP flour and added baking powder, so that may have affected it (although I've done the same for many other recipes and they worked great). The loaf is very dense, which is ok but not really what I was looking for. Also, I added the entire half cup of sugar and wish I hadn't, the bread turned out weirdly sweet. I recommend Alton Brown"
"Great recipe, but it needs a few modifications. I did not add the crystallized ginger (cooking on a budget) and bumped up the ground ginger to 1.5 teaspoons. Tasted great like that, didn't miss the crystallized ginger at all. The dough is also very dry, I had to add about 1 tablespoon of milk before I could roll the dough into balls. I also made t"
"Melissa never disappoints! Deep, rich flavor for a very simple recipe. Be aware though, onions do not take 20 minutes to carmelize! More like an hour. I also marinated the steak in the fridge for ~1.5 hours and used the rub in the recipe and sprinkled the meat with red wine vinegar. I think the meat would have been rather tough without the longer "
"Great recipe! I didn';t have sausage so I used pork chops and bacon instead, seasoned with sage, and it was great and tasted just like sausage. I agree it could be a bit thicker, so I just used some cornstarch. Thanks for sharing!"
"These are the only gnocchi I've ever made and liked, fabulous! The recipe can be shortened a bit too, I think. I didn't do the 0.5 hour drying time, I just stuck them in a warm oven while waiting for the water to boil and they were still a perfect consistency. "
"I love the chicken korma at my local Indian restaurant, but this was nowhere near as good. The sauce was tangier and blander, like the spices didn't cover up the yogurt flavor well enough. If you are going to make it I would recommend increasing the spices by 1.5 and perhaps using a blend of yogurt and heavy cream. "
"These are delicious! So easy to make, which is their only downfall, since I can end up making them multiple times a week. The chocolate sauce is fabulous, I use it on strawberries, cake, pretzels, and anything else I have in my cupboard that looks dippable. "
"These were fantastic! I brought them to work and had multiple people say it was the only time they have ever liked something cooked with beer. I followed the recipe exactly except that I cut the frosting in half, as per another reviewer's recommendation, and the proportions worked out perfectly. "
"I only made the sauce, which was pretty fantastic with a few modifications. I thickened with a little cornstarch, which it definitely needed, and also added some fresh basil, which made a huge difference. Overall I'd say it's a great base for you to add an herb, crushed red pepper, or something else to."
"The finished product tasted FABULOUS, my only complaint with the recipe is that it takes far longer than 10 minutes to prep because the acorn squash has such a hard rind. I'd recommend using butternut squash instead, since it's easier to chop. "
