Reviewed corned beef and cabbage

Excellent recipe. The caramelized onions tossed with the cabbage is a nice twist and the Guinness in the braising liquid adds a lot of flavor to the broth. This is my new 'go to' recipe for corned beef. Melissa's recipes never miss the mark.

"I have been cooking and baking almost all of my life and Barefoot Contessa is one of my favorite hosts on the Food Network. I never miss an episode and frequently tape them for review later. I recently made Ina's raspberry bars and they were excellent. They use ingredients that most of us have around the kitchen all the time and they went together"

"I recently catered a cocktail party for an art exhibit with about 200 guests. We don't serve dinner, but rather we provide 'heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts'. I made Tyler's pulled pork and it was excellent. I used about 15 lbs. of pork butt and doubled the recipe for the rub which proved to be more than enough. I served it with a kale cole slaw "

"I'm not a big fan of grannola, but this one sounded really good and I generally have good luck with BC recipes. I read the reviews while my first batch was in the oven(I cut the recipe in half, just in case),and I'm glad I did because I caught it before it burned. It was in 20 mintues. Tossed it around a bit and did another 10 min.then turned the oven off a let the granola dry a bit. It's about to rain today so the air is humid. I think it's going to affect the crunchiness. We'll see. Thank you Jerry-18etc and ErinK. "
